Self-esteem and its relationship with the Burnout Syndrome
Teachers´ working conditions have undergone significant changes over time due to a significant increase in responsibilities and duties. Changes have directly affected their physical and mental well-being. Current paper is a segment of a study that analyzed, through interviews, the perception of 16 kindergarten and elementary school teachers on occupational hazards and their understanding of the Occupational Safety theme. Results were satisfactory, albeit insufficient, so that teachers could become protagonists of changes in health promoters in the school milieu. A training policy is needed so that changes in the school context promote the health of the educational worker.
